About Us
There is nothing quite like Meadowpond Pet Resort
in the area. We cater to dogs while their owners are on vacation.
We have over 40 years experience handling
dogs we celebrated our 2nd Anniversary in October of 2012.
Our specialty is the comfort and happiness of every pet that
crosses our threshold coupled with our dedication to customer service. Our spacious suites are comfortable while your
pet is in them...and when they are not, they are enjoying a romp in our
huge play yards under the watchful eye of expert staff. Our PASS suites
allow access for local residents or travelers that need flexible hours.
This
intimate little pet resort is the destination for the pet of the
discriminating pet owner. Tour our web site or stop by and visit our facility
any morning between the hours of 9AM-12 Noon. We would love to show you
around.
Drop your pet at Meadowpond prior to checking in at your
ultimate destination and be on your way to enjoy your vacation, we are conveniently located
just South of
Schuss Mtn. Road on M-88 you will pass us on your way to the Shanty Creek Resorts or Torch
Lake!
Gina is a professional All-Breed
groomer and has skills learned from showing dogs since 1974. She is
a specialist in breed standards and hand scissoring. You
will no doubt get the style you have always wanted on your pet! Just
ask she will follow your directions to the hair!
Visitors to our area
Most home rentals and resorts are not
pet friendly. Our Pet PASS (Pet Access Secure Suites) system enable you
to drop off your pet "any time" not just during our business hours.
You are given a unique code to enter the Suites area. Its safe and
convenient! Our system insures your pet is safe and comfortable and
will have
a great time doing what dogs like to do, play and romp with Kennel
Attendants or their canine friends. And you can enjoy peace of mind.
Our NEW PASS
SUITES!
PASS are reserved for local residents and
visitors who may be arriving or departing the area, and need access to
the Pet Resort. Our PASS system generates a unique access code to our suites that
is effective only for the time you have reserved for your pet to stay
with us. For those who need the ultimate in convenience. All
arrangements can made over the phone and prepaid. Rest
assured we are available to assist you during our normal business hours,
however if you need that late arrival or departure your arrival or
departure schedule is
flexible!

Gina Fox ~ My Qualifications
I have been a
professional pet groomer since 1972, my first job as a kid of 15 was
at Shores Kennels, in
Clinton Township, MI. I owned and operated that all-breed pet resort
since 1986 in March we celebrated 27 years of providing a healthy,
safe, clean and fun environment for family pets to enjoy, while
their owners have a relaxing vacation with peace of mind knowing
their pet is enjoying the same. That location is now under the
guidance of another "dog person" and I live in Northern
Michigan full time.
We have brought that same high quality
service and experience to Northern Michigan!
I am a Certified
Pet Care Technician., through the Pet Care Services Association
(formerly the ABKA) and experienced trainer, breeder and handler of
dogs and cats in all stages of their life, from the newborn to
geriatric individuals. We have over 26 AKC Champions to our credit in Conformation, Obedience and Hunt
Tests, Therapy Dogs and Search & Rescue.
We know from experience what works
and what it takes to keep pets happy and comfortable in their
temporary "home away from home". Pet accommodations and all-breed
grooming services are our core competency. We do not dabble in
retail, health services or other side businesses. Our focus is on
the safety, comfort and entertainment of our guests and peace of mind
for their owners while they are on vacation. Meadowpond is a twist
on a traditional kennel.
